Here is Stephen Kenneth Hackley creating his newest original. It is an oil on copper!  It is absolutely gorgeous!  He spent the last couple of nights preparing the copper so that he could actually apply paint that he creates on to the surface!  We will keep you posted on the progress! www.stephenhackley.com
Here one of Stephen's clients came by his booth to pay a visit.  She loved all the new work.  His younger son Jonah was there to help with the show and the tent. It was a pleasure to have one his clients. His tent has a nice array of both Florals and Abstract pieces.  All of his work is available in those fun canvas prints that are on display to the right of him. www.stephenhackley.com

Stephen's wife Pamela fell upon this lovely article written about her husband's Solo Exhibit last year.  She was thrilled to find it and hopes you enjoy it.

Stephen Kenneth Hackley is a native of Des Moines, Iowa who moved to Texas at the age of 4. Taking art classes was a beginning for Stephen, but he did not immerse himself into a career as a painter until the mid-90s. As Stephen’s passion grew he felt limited by the properties of standard oil paints. He concluded that to fully express his skills and achieve the desired effects, he would have to mix some of his own paints from raw pigment. This resulted in a wider prism and range of opacity that is captured in his art, factually becoming his signature.

He earned his title of THE Flower Painter from a curator who proclaimed Stephen as the best in the blossom genre after looking through a collection of his paintings. The name stuck and later appeared in a magazine article. Stephen’s work is a textile of vibrant color, energy and subtle organic textures. There is no escaping his oversized floral renditions animated with sunlight that brightens the bright tones and deepens the contrasts. Shades and highlights collide and the result creates energy quite unlike other flower portraits you may have seen. Stephen’s new challenges go far beyond mere florals. Horses have long fascinated him and their imposing physical presence, symbolism and history have inspired a new wave of works.

The exhibit is free and open to the public. Gallery hours are 10:00 am – 6:00 pm Monday through Saturday and during all public events. The Charles W. Eisemann Center is located at 2351 Performance Drive, Richardson in the Galatyn Park Urban Center adjacent to the Galatyn Park DART rail station. This is Pink Tenderness beside Reverence created by one of the top Fine Floral Artists in the world, Stephen Hackley.  He actually creates his own paint.  This allows him to push as much color as he wants into his work.  These are just breathtaking pieces. You can find more of his work at www.stephenhackley.com or on his facebook page at Stephen Kenneth Hackley .  He also has several videos on youtube where he talks about his work.
Here is Stephen's piece called Reverence. It graces the family room of a very large home in Southlake Texas. A gentleman and his delightful wife who are very savvy Art Collectors acquired it. He is a retired pilot from American Airlines so needless to say he and his wife have acquired original art from all over the world. They chose to place this piece in the most prominent room of their home so that guests could enjoy it upon their arrival. We were very honored by this.

Here is Stephen Hackley with Praise.  This piece has quite a story behind it.  It debuted at the Fort Worth Petroleum Club where the wife of the Architect of the club had to have it. It has graced the entrance of their Texas home for years now.  It also was entered into the most prestigious Competition for the top Fine Floral Artists in the world. This was hosted by the Kathleen Black Foundation.  They received 3500 entries from around the world and the jury had the task of selecting 50 pieces.  These pieces then went on a two year tour around the country in museum after museum.  To this day, at all of our Fine Outdoor Art Shows.  Praise in the canvas print shown sells out at every show. www.stephenhackley.com
